Minister Manchevski Meets the Team "Space Walkers“ After Their Big Success in Lebanon

Today, the Minister of Information Society and Administration, Damjan Manchevski, met with the members of the team "Space Walkers“, after their big success of winning second place of the international FIRST LEGO League event, organized in Lebanon. This event is a competition in educational robotics held in over 98 countries, and this year 40,000 teams have participated.
Minister Manchevski congratulated the team on their success and, as he said, winning second place among so many participants is very significant not only for them, but also for the country, given that "Space Walkers“ put the country on the map of most successful countries in the field of children's robotics. The meeting also noted participation of representatives of the STEM Academy in Skopje, who have mentored this team.
The children presented their projects and shared their impressions from the visit to Lebanon and from participation in the event. The team includes Jovan, Marko, Simon, Ivan, Gabriel, Luka, Stefan, Mina, Matej, Leo, David. They are pupils from 5th to 9th grade from several primary schools in Skopje.
As Minister Manchevski said, the Government and MISA are available for any type of support and participation in other events and for attainment of even more successes.
"The future of our country lies in the hands of the youngest people, and innovative projects such as this one develop young minds and encourages creativity. It is our duty and obligation as a state to be their partner and assistant in that process", noted Minister Manchevski.
