Session of the Public Administration Reform Council: Activities for Public Administration Reforms are Ongoing, the Underlying Aim is to Provide Professional and Efficient Service for the Citizens

The Public Administration Reform (PAR) Council, chaired by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, held its sixth session yesterday afternoon in the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia.
Following adoption of the minutes from the previous fifth session and discussion thereof, the Minister of Information Society and Administration, Damjan Manchevski, informed members of the Council on progress in preparation of the Law Amending the Law on Public Sector Employees, the Law Amending the Law on Administrative Servants and the proposed Law on Senior Civil Service.
Minister Manchevski also shared information concerning the status and future steps in the process of reorganization and optimization of public administration bodies, central government agencies and inspection services, as one of the key reforms in public administration.
During the session, members of the Council held a discussion concerning all proposed amendments of the separate laws, with support for provision of functional and professional administration, as well as functional operation of institutions and public administration bodies.
During the sixth session, inter alia, members of the Council discussed the process of preparation of the second semi-annual report on implementation of the Public Administration Reform Strategy. The discussions also covered enhancement of the system for monitoring and implementation of the PAR Strategy 2018 - 2022 and the Action Plan.
