Shaqiri: The implementation of an integrity system will contribute to an efficient and effective operation of the public administration in order to increase the citizens' trust in institutions

In order to mark the International Day dedicated to fight against corruption - December 9th, the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) organized a conference "Choose the right direction! Choose integrity!”, where the Minister of Information Society and Administration, Mr. Jeton Shaqiri, took part as a speaker.

"As a result of the efforts of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia in the fight against corruption, the Ministry of Information Society and Administration is among the first institutions that has developed an Anti-Corruption Program with a specific Action Plan for implementation, which aims to facilitate efforts and efforts and commitments in the fight against corruption, to contribute to its eradication and to prevent its further occurrence ", said Shaqiri.

Among other things, Shaqiri said: "The concept of integrity is an integral part of the system of good governance. In the context of good governance, we are developing both personal and institutional integrity, guaranteed by independence, professionalism and accountability in the performance of competencies established by law.

"The Ministry of Information Society and Administration is among the five pilot institutions for the implementation of the integrity system within the EU IPA II project" Promoting Transparency and Accountability in Public Administration ", implemented by the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption”, emphasized Shaqiri.

"At the end, I believe that the introduction and implementation of an integrity system will contribute to an efficient and effective functioning of the public administration in order to increase the citizens’ trust in institutions," concluded his speech, Minister Shaqiri.
