Today, the Minister of Information Society and Administration, Mr. Jeton Shaqiri was part of the workshop "Digital Transformation, Data and Artificial Intelligence in the Western Balkans", which aims to explore the impact of digital technologies, data and artificial intelligence on our societies.

"The Ministry of Information Society and Administration is the main entity in creating e-government policies and is in charge of the efforts for digital transformation of society, in accordance with EU directives and policies. The Interoperability Platform, the Central Population Register and the National Portal for Electronic Services are some of the most important achievements”, said Minister Shaqiri in his speech.

“MISA has rounded up the consultation process with all stakeholders and received comments on the national ICT strategy, which is in the process of adaptation. With this, all stakeholders will be able to work coherently on the digitalization roadmap, with coherent steps and an action plan" said Shakiri, among other things.

Minister Shaqiri also added: "During this year that we are leaving behind, we have achieved many results, such as the increase in the number of electronic services, 40 services on the National Portal for Electronic Services and 136 others are in the process of development. The focus in 2022 will be the digitalization of as many services as possible in agriculture. Currently, the Document Management System is used by 20 institutions, and it is expected that another 200 institutions will be included in this system, so that our state administration will operate completely without hardcopy”.

“I hope this workshop will be useful for all participants. Together and with coherent work, our country will move forward and our living standard will be improved," concluded Minister Shaqiri.
