Aleksandar Bajdevski met with the representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM)

Today, Deputy Minister for Information Society and Administration (MISA), Aleksandar Bajdevski, had a meeting with the representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM).
Topics of discussion at the meeting were the demands of the Trade Union for a linear salary increase in the public sector in the amount of 2,806 denars.
After the meeting, the representatives from the Union emphasized that there is an urgent need to raise salaries due to the poor economic conditions and the living standards of the public administration.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that MISA understands these requirements and that the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia is making efforts to provide a systemic solution for the salaries in this sector.
Public sector salaries should be increased according to a system that should in the future connect or take into account factors such as the minimum wage, the living standard, inflation.
As a conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed that the social dialogue must continue further in order to peacefully resolve all disputes between the state and social partners.
